What is Aquaponics?

1.) Our fish are raised in fresh water tanks where they swim, eat, and produce ammonia-rich waste

2.) The soiled water is pumped through a biofilter where naturally occurring nitrogen-fixing bacteria convert fish waste into plant nutrient

3.) Plants are grown hydroponically where their roots absorb the nutrient-rich effluent, removing it from the system and returning clean water to the fish tank

Aquaponics is the cultivation of fish and plants together in a symbiotic environment. It is a sustainable and efficient method,  using a fraction of the resources compared to traditional agricultural practices. Our aquaponic systems are free from synthetic pesticides, herbicides and other harmful chemicals.
